40 more tunes! NOT the usual suspects!
Now in stock. This one is not to be missed. Audio download included at no charge if you order from me!
Tunes, songs, recorded references and some of the stories behind the tunes!
You’ve played over the waterfall, marched along to soldier’s joy and perhaps even found your fortune while trotting along on that old spotted pony. Now, it’s time to take your next steps Beyond the waterfall to the land of lesser played tunes.
Inside this volume is a collection of 40 challenging, unusual, interesting and, dare I say, extraordinary tunes written out both in standard notation and clawhammer banjo tablature along with suggested chords and fiddle bowing making this book is suitable for anyone wanting to learn these melodies.
There are even a number of old-time songs including all of their lyrics so you can start to sing again in the old-time way.
In addition, most of the tunes include a selection of historic notes and recorded references for you to look up so you can hear how it went “way back when.” I hope many of you will take the time to do that. It may jump start your stalled old-time music collection or as some folks say, “start you a new one”.
Mel Bay opted to not include a recording with the book however I have made one available on CD Baby. Go to http://cdbaby.com/cd/danlevenson to download it for only $7. Only fiddle tracks since you just need to hear the tune.
HOWEVER please note: If you order directly from me I will include a CDR of the sound files at no additional charge!
